IT English Meetup #4

Purpose

This meet-up aims to provide people the opportunity to opportunities practice speaking in their non-native language (English/Japanese). It is especially well suited to people who have ones who haven't studied these languages since graduation and whose speaking ability has deteriorated.

This meet-up also aims to produce a community that looks for new ways to practicing English and Japanese in an enjoyable manner.

This is a very casual meet-up. It doesn’t matter what level you are, we will use both English and Japanese, so you don't have to be perfect. The most important thing is to practice!

We haven't decided detailed plans for the event, so we'll make it up as we go along as a group. Please relax, and and join us, it will be fun.

In this meet-up, we have been tried various things, from talking about IT topics, to board games in order to communicate in peoples non-native language.
This time we will be talking about out the fairy tales of our own countries, but describing them in the language we are practicing.

Schedule

14:00 - 14:30 Self Introduction

Introduce yourself in your non-native language (Japanese->English/English->Japanese)
If you need a presentation slide for your self introduction, please make it in advance.

14:30 - 15:30 Group Work

Make a groups of four or five people to practice conversation (the themes will be provided on the day)
15:30 - 17:00 Talk about Fairy tales

Make a group with different people and talk about fairy tales

17:00 - 18:00 Closing

Party!!!!!!!

After this meet-up, we will go out to the pub, so feel free to join us.
