About this meetup

The purpose of this meetup is to provide a place to speak English. Japanese developers can practice listening, reading, and writing by themselves, but to talk in English, they need others.

The plan for IT English Meetup #0

We haven't decided exactly what we will do yet, so this meetup will be for deciding how we will hold events in the future. We welcome anyone interested to join us.

We'll use the #ITES-K (ITEnglishStudy-Kyoto) hash tag to discuss about the meetup.

Plan for Meetup #1 onwards

• Introduce ourselves in English
• Give Lightning Talks in English
• Talk about English technical documents
• Do code review and write comments in English

Rules of the meetup

The meetup itself will be casual and we welcome everyone to join, but to make sure we actually use English, we have the following rules:

• You must speak at least a bit of English at the meetup
• Even if you are shy or embarrassed, you cannot be silent
